This is my second year in Davos for the World Economic Forum. My excitement has not dwindled. I find myself here like a child at Christmas. Brimming with the opportunity that this place holds.Â
Historically, change has always been led by individuals rather than groups of people. I find it amazing how some people can have such a disproportionately greater impact on the world – take for example Leonardo Da Vinci. In the modern world people like Bill Gates have in many ways single handily changed the way the rest of us live our lives. What is it about these people that makes them such powerful change agents? This is the question I come to Davos with.
Anyone who has ever shared a bed with a mosquito will know that something small can have a big impact. I believe, like Margaret Mead, that change is always delivered by few and then sometimes adopted by many. There are many things in this world that I would like to have an impact on. I will be talking to people here and building my network, whilst trying to work out how I could learn from these impressive change agents.
I will be trying to gather opinions from these world leaders on the prospects for young people in work. I will also be raising awareness for both http://wwwBraveNewTalent.com and http://OneYoungWorld.com. I am just over the moon to be back and will continue to count my lucky stars! A big thank you from me to David Ball of http://www.BrandFuel.co.uk for making this happen.
